Allison Burleson has also been appointed as a new judge for our local judicial circuit. She has been an assistant district attorney for the judicial circuit since 2007. She went to Morgan County from DeKalb County, where she was the chief assistant solicitor-general for the county and an assistant district attorney in the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office from 2004 to 2006.
These two women were appointed by Governor Deal after two vacancies in the district were created by the Aug. 21 death of Judge James Cline, Jr. and the resignation, effective Dec. 31, of Judge Hulane George.
Judge Burleson’s office will be based at the Jasper County Courthouse. Judge Trammell’s office will be based at the Baldwin Courthouse in Milledgeville.
