BOC ATTITUDE—IT’S OK TO SIGN A 50 YEAR AGREEMENT BECAUSE THEY WON’T BE AROUND TO SEE HOW IT WORKS OUT

Gene Trammell and Jim Alexander seem convinced that by the time the 50-year contract (IGA) with JDA comes to an end, Jasper County will be bringing in $4 million a year.

According to Jim Alexander, at the end of the 50-year agreement, Jasper County will no longer be a partner and any tax revenues to the county will end (so will any payments still being made).

Trammell and Alexander indicated it would be bad when that revenue runs out.  However, see what Comm. Doug Luke had to say about it.

These commissioners are signing an agreement that will affect 2 to 3 generations of people in Jasper County.  They won’t be around, but your grandchildren will.  Think about it!

  1. MORE BUNK FROM THE BOC ECHOE CHAMBER says:

Instead of actually doing something to reverse the process, here’s to hoping you won’t be here when the greatest debt bubble ever created in the history Jasper County bursts. That’s some legacy to leave to our kids.
    Cheers.
