A BIG PILE OF ROCKS SCRAPED OFF THE ROAD BY PUBLIC WORKS

December 20, 2016

MORE WASTE AND INCOMPETENCE BY PUBLIC WORKS

First, you can ask nicely, then you start to complain on a regular basis, and then you just finally realize that Public Works is not going to get your road fixed.

Then one day they come out, and what do they do?  The actually put gravel down on your road.   It is great until the motorgrader comes by and scrapes it all off and puts it in a big pile on the side of the road and leaves it there!

Yep!  That actually happens.  Here is proof!  See the big pile of rocks?  They are not on the road, but pushed off on the side of the road.  What a waste of money—for the rock and by paying the crew that did it.

holman-rd-crusher-run2-dec-2016The BOC has talked about Public Works for 4 years.  They are going to ‘reorganize.’  They are going to make changes.  Instead they buy more and more big expensive equipment that no one can seem to use.  It is a shame, but not likely to change unless the citizens stop accepting the crappy work and demand a re-do.

The County Manager continues to tell the BOC at the monthly meetings what a great job Public Works is doing.  What do you think?

One Response to A BIG PILE OF ROCKS SCRAPED OFF THE ROAD BY PUBLIC WORKS

  1. Where Does The Buck Stop, Commissioners? says:

How many tens thousands of taxpayers dollars must be wasted, vehicles damaged and motorists hurt before the someone on the Board of Commissioners accepts their responsibility of policing the Public Works Department for incompetence ?

The cost of public works steadily increases while quality of work decreases with every dollar spent. What is the problem Commissioners? It is not your fault, right? Who’s then? Do tell.
